Gold Closes Last Year at $833.30
Folks that is the highest that gold has even ended a month, and this time it was a year. What a year: Gold up $197.30 or 31.02% to $833.30 and silver up $1.92 or 14.97% to $14.77. Still silver is lagging behind gold which it usually has led. Gold has made a strong break out from consolidation and looks to be going much higher. Of course, we should expect sandy spots along the way as long as the cartel is playing in the market for precious metals. We should continue to see any fall backs as buying opportunities and hang tough. Remember, gold is historically real money and all paper currencies eventually fail. Thus, the precious metals are a sound media for preserving wealth.
This is the New Year that God has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. What a wonderful God we have who understand the frailty of His created beings. He gives us new weeks, months, and years for new beginnings. We must constantly praise and thank Him for each blessing given to us through His grace. Remember, we, as sinful people deserve nothing but His wrath.
In spite of this, He sent His Son to die in our place on that cross some 2000 years ago. Through His love, He has by grace alone reconciled us to Himself. He loves His people and preserves them in spite of our sin. He washes each sin away in the blood of Jesus Christ. That, my friends, is a selfless blessing which none deserve. I pray that each of you is one of His chosen people: a forgiven sinner striving to be more like Christ, daily studying the word of God, and living, by His grace, in concert therewith. What a joy it is to know that nothing in heaven or on earth can separate His people from the love of God which is in Jesus Christ, my Lord.
May God bless you and your families this year as you grow more in knowledge and wisdom of God. Praise Him for these wonderful gifts.
Best, Doug
