Sit tight These Days - Precious Metals - Currencies - Gold vs. DOW
The Bible tells us to "Be still, and know that I am God." Though this is always good advice, it might be specially important with the volatility in most markets and the strange moves of gold and silver at this time. While to know that He is the Sovereign God, the true knowledge of God should make us tremble and seek to serve Him 100% of the time. It is also wise to just sit on hold in the markets and wait for a clearing of the smoke that we may more clearly see.

Seductive Beliefs: Part II
Thomas Sowell:
Obama's declaration that Israel must give up the land it acquired, after neighboring countries threatened its survival in 1967, is completely consistent with both his ideology of many years and his previous actions as President of the United States.
The only thing surprising about Barack Obama's latest blow against Israel is that there are people who are surprised. As for a Palestinian homeland, that was never a big issue when the Arabs controlled that land, up to 1967. HERE.

We Deserve Our Fate?
Walter E. Williams:
The latest Social Security Trustees Report tells us that the program will be insolvent by the year 2037. The combined unfunded liability of Social Security and Medicare has reached nearly $107 trillion in today's dollars. That is about seven times the size of the U.S. economy and 10 times the size of the national debt. Those entitlement programs, along with others, account for nearly 60 percent of federal spending. They are what Congress calls non-discretionary spending. About half of discretionary spending is for national defense. Each year, non-discretionary spending consumes a higher and higher percentage of the federal budget. HERE.
Lew Rockwell:
Police Epidemic
Lew Rockwell interviews William Norman Grigg.
Paramilitary police are a relatively recent state invention. They’ve metastasized into a domestic occupation force, enhancing government, institutionalizing injustice, plundering with permission, Tasing with perversion, cloaked in full immunity, and not protecting people. Whatever you do, don’t call 911. As a mundane, your home is no longer your castle. Listen and read HERE.

Central Banking: Success Through Failure
By Gary North
Western Europe has invented two institutions that have taken over the world: the university and the central bank. Today, both are under fire as never before. At the same time, both are in their respective diver's seats. The greater the criticism, the better they do for themselves.
We are finally seeing articles on the bubble in higher education. It isn't a bubble. Government money still flows in by the hundreds of billions a year. HERE.

Gold well supported by fundamentals but a small correction is on the cards - Melek
This year, selling in May and going away might not be the best strategy for the gold market as there are some rather important macroeconomic events occuring over the next few months that will have a bearing on the metal. HERE.
Mine Web:
U.S. debt train could drive gold higher and higher
Continued concerns about the debt crisis in Europe have given gold prices a lift but, it is important to keep an eye on what is happening both in Asia and the US. HERE.
The DOW may be making another short term upward move after a strong day yesterday; however, one would expect a bit of a down move after so strong up day.
Best to each, Doug
